David Perkins was always the more focused, serious member of his family; if he wasn’t reprimanding you for something, he was sure to have his nose in the air as if he smelt something. It’s not that he’s an asshole, he just doesn’t see the point of his family’s optimism. The 21-year-old is, to put it simply, the black sheep in the sheer happiness of the Perkins’ family; he’s not constantly smiling or willing to help others, nor is he the kind of person that would be humble about their talent. He likes to show off, and he likes to be seen as the most responsible one, the one who thinks things through; being the second oldest boy of the six siblings, he likes to think it comes as a job.

What people don’t know, however, is that David only does this because he doesn’t feel like he belongs with his relatives; in fact, when he was in his teenage years, he dared to ask his parents if he had been adopted. David feels that he has to hide behind his seriousness and arrogance because, out of all of the Perkins, he’s the only one who doesn’t have a talent - he can’t draw, doesn’t know how to sing or play an instrument, and he most certainly can’t act. He’s just there, as normal as society can make someone think they are, and he hates it. He despises not fitting in, but he’s never really tried to do so, before.
