Chase Lawrence || Max Irons || 21 || College Student || Open

Chase has always blamed himself for his mother’s death. She died when he was four years old, too little to really understand anything that was going on. The last conversation he had was a fight; a childish fight, that any normal kid wouldn’t feel bad about having. He was fighting her over wanting a new toy. Chase was too little to understand that his mother had died. He didn’t even cry at the funeral, not knowing what was going on. Not understanding where they were taking his mother. Not understanding why she couldn’t have just gotten him that new toy. As he grew older, and he started to understand, he felt nothing but guilt for the way he acted. It was his fault his mother had died, he kept telling himself that so many times he had started to believe it. Even now, at twenty one years old, where he had the brain to think rationally, she still viewed her death as his fault. Instead of allowing himself to fall into a deep depression or drugs or anything else bad, he dived into building robots. That was his passion: robots. It helped his mind ignore all the pain and only think about his one activity. He now is in college studying to be an engineer, taking his building further. If those robots ever got away from him, he would fall and crash and burn. He needs those robots; they’re his lifeline.

Lindsey Williams | Kristen Stewart | 19 | Senior | Taken

Lindsey had never been the easiest child to deal with. Growing up in and out of foster homes she didn’t see much discipline and would completely disregard any attempt at enforced rules both in the homes and in school. She knew that she was just a product of the system, another kid taken from a broken home only to end up in ones just as bad, just without someone you could actually call family, and with no chance of someone to actually love you. It made her cold and cynical about life, not to mention love. At the age of thirteen cigarettes and drugs became her best friends and by the time she got into high school she was worse than she ever was. She spent the first two years going to school high and then leaving when the high would wear off just to go get another fix. Spending less than half of her time at school sophomore year, she was forced to repeat the grade which woke her up to just how badly she was fucking up her life and thus began her journey to get her life back on track so she wouldn’t end up just like her druggie mother who was incapable of doing much of anything. Too afraid to end up that way, Lindsey got herself completely clean by the end of junior year. Now in her senior year, Lindsey is hoping to redeem her terrible grades and pull up her GPA enough to get into a university at the end of the year. She has also found a passion for literature and delves into works of her favorite form of art to busy herself and to keep her mind from wanting to go back to her old lifestyle. She is still a bit rough around the edges and cynical when it comes to the belief in love but other than that she’s really turned her life around and all on her own which is pretty impressive even if she has to say so herself.
